Popular jobs for the class of 2019
Not many new grads can say this, but the class of 2019 is lucky—they’re graduating into one of the best job markets in recent history.
According to data from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), employers have plans to hire 16.6 percent more recent grads than they had previously. And LinkedIn figured out exactly which jobs these new graduates are applying for and getting hired for, and what the average entry-level salary is for each role.
Here were the top-ten most common jobs and their corresponding salaries:
- Account manager: $52,900
- Financial Analyst: $59,300
- Account executive: $55,000
- Administrative assistant: $35,400
- Project manager: $57,500
- Accountant: $48,000
- Teacher: $40,000
- Salesperson: $31,100
- Registered nurse: $62,400
- Software engineer: $83,000
