Stranger Things’ Sheriff Hopper is making the Hawaiian shirt cool again
July 4thweekend was all about hanging with friends and family with BBQs and beach getaways (and traffic), but there was still plenty of time left for watching TV. Stranger Things Season 3 hit Netflix on Independence Day, and fans were declaring their independence by bingeing it all weekend long.
And even though the show’s third season is set in 1985, we can all steal some serious fashion insight from these characters. One look in particular that has set social media abuzz is Sheriff Jim Hopper’s Hawaiian “dad shirt” that he paired with light-wash jeans throughout many of the episodes. The look is ‘80s style to the max for sure, but truth be told, Hawaiian shirts are still a major fashion trend for guys today—dads or otherwise.
