These are the two major color trends at Fashion Week FW 2019
While celebrities on the west coast are celebrating awards show season (the Oscars are up next!), fashionistas and influencers (and fine, some celebrities too) are in New York City for Fashion Week, where designers are walking their fall ’19 collections down the runway.
And though we’re barely halfway through—NYFW officially runs until Saturday, Feb. 16—it’s already clear that there are two major color trends that are going to be everywhere next season: bright lilac and lipstick red.
Lilac, interestingly enough, was Pantone’s 2018 color of the year, but it’s making a resurgence now. The light purple hue is an especially welcome pop against the typical dark, neutral hues of cold weather collections. Try a lilac ruffled dress by Rebecca Taylor or a crossbody bag by See by Chloe, both available at Garmany.
Another bold hue that’s popping up everywhere is lipstick red, or really any bright, out-there red, which grabs attention in a good way. Try a bold red blazer from Rag & Bone or boots from Aquazzura to get the look.
Take a trip to Garmany to check out more styles straight from the NYFW runway. It’s never too early to think ahead when it comes to fashion!
