How to layer this fall
Layering isn’t just for the ladies. Men can also get on board with fall’s biggest (and most practical) trend with these simple tips from Garmany’s fashion experts.
- Layer from light to heavy. This means putting on a t-shirt, then a v-neck sweater, and then a blazer (we love Isaia’s) and/or coat on top of that. This makes it easiest to take layers off should temps fluctuate throughout the day.
- Pile on the outwear. It’s cold, is it not? Kanye West is a big advocate for layering outwear on top of each other; hoodies look great under jackets like those by Eton, and zip-ups pair well under puffer coats by Moncler.
- Stick to similar colors and patterns. Though it’s okay to experiment, too many colors and prints will look busy. Keep each layer in the same color family, and stick to one bold print at a time. A houndstooth shirt from Peter Millar or a vibrant scarf from Ferragamo would be the perfect accent item.
