Sure March is unpredictable—weather wise, and we’ve already had two snowfalls, but summer is right around the corner, and we at GARMANY Red Bank thought we’d share our favorite Jersey Shore things to do. Whether you’re looking for a great beach, good eats or just fun, there’s something for everyone. Are you favorites on the list?

Asbury Park Pedal Boats. Have fun and burn calories in a swan-shaped pedal boat on Wesley Lake, between Asbury Park and Ocean Grove. Weather permitting, their 2017 season will start Easter weekend.

Beach Tavern. Whether you eat big, eat small—or just plain enjoy the raw bar, the welcome mat is always out at this waterfront eatery in Monmouth Beach. There’s sushi night, lobster night, taco night, and happy hour all day Sunday.

Cape May Food Tours. Hungry for sightseeing, or just plain hungry? Either way, entrepreneur Mary Ockrymiek has what you’re looking for. She offers two scrumptious experiences: the Historic Downtown Food Tour and the West Cape May Food Tour, each of which includes six tasting locations as well as tidbits on local history and architecture.

Jersey Shore Pirates. Firing water cannons, finding hidden treasure, battling enemy ships…What kid can resist all that? At this spot in Brick, youngsters immerse themselves in piratical mischief.

Johnson’s Popcorn. You know you’re approaching this Ocean City institution (in business since 1940) when you detect the aroma of hot caramel wafting down the boardwalk. Stop in and watch the popcorn being mixed in large copper kettles.

Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. Ever sit in the cockpit of a World War II-era Soviet MIG? Or climb an air traffic control tower? There’s all that and more at this spot located at the Cape May Airport. Hands-on fun and educational activities are here for kids, and the All Available Boats exhibit commemorates the heroes of 9/11.

Lucy the Elephant. This legendary denizen of Atlantic City (constructed in 1881) stands six stories tall and weighs 90 tons. Have you climbed her spiral staircase? She’ll reward you with spectacular views.

New Jersey Maritime Museum. You’ll learn about scuba diving, the 1930 S.S. Morro Castle disaster and more at this Beach Haven facility that showcases our state’s maritime past.
